E3 wrapped a mere a week ago which means I’m talking about ancient history in internet time. But with that out of the way I might as well talk about a key announcement I was genuinely interested in only to be brought back to reality at an alarming rate.

It’s an understatement to say Mr. Wonder is a great singer/songwriter. His contributions to American music not only transcend genres. His fanbase has reach across many generations WORLDWIDE so it’s safe to say he’s a national treasure. Dude’s subject matter has reach beyond love songs too. He’s scribed about economic hardship, depression, society’s ills and even Christianity among other topics. I’m a huge fan of this living legend If you couldn’t already tell. He always finds a way to get spins on my iTunes despite the abundance of rap&BS in my library.
I have so many favorites from his catalog that I’d be here all night if I listed them all. So I decided to share a few favorites with you all. Keep in mind this is not a “top Stevie Wonder” list at all. Well now that that’s settled lets get to the good stuff. Continue reading ‘What Are Your Favorite Stevie Wonder Songs?’

I decided to see the Nets’ last preseason game against the Knicks at The Rock. The tickets were only ten bucks so I came through with my lil’ homey from Rutgers.
So, do the Nets fit in well with Newark? Continue reading ‘The NBA x Newark: Enjoy it While You Can’

I checked out the Nets pre season game against the Celtics last night. The Nets lost a game they should’ve won but that’s not the point. Instead, it seems like their new owner has the game locked up as far as moving the squad to Brooklyn. I can go on about how it’s a dumb move in more ways than one but think about this. Why not just play in Newark? Continue reading ‘Because Putting The Nets In Newark Makes Too Much Sense…’

Dwyck is one of my favorite DJ Premier tracks ever. The beat is simple, catchy and knocks all the same. There’s no hook and it actually works better that way. It makes the rhymes stand out more and sets it apart from so many songs from that era. Plus the video had some bad girls in it and there’s nothing wrong with that.

My friend insisted that I tried this game out and I refused for the longest. Honestly, the pics make it look broke at times and I hated the demo. Still, I scooped it up on ebay for $8 on a whim. I figured that if it was terrible I could go without a subway sandwich for once.

Despite some nagging issues Burnout Paradise is one of my favorite games this gen. I put in more hours than I’m willing to admit in the main game and I eyed the Island ever since it dropped. So the other day I decided to take the roughly $13 plunge into Big Surf Island. I never bought DLC before this so it was a pretty geeky watershed moment for me. To put it short, BSI is a well designed addition to the mainland. The problem is that it left me wanting for even more than what it offered events-wise.
