How Forza 4 Can Be More Than A Standard Sequel

2011 may be a bit early for Forza 4 considering how Forza 3 isn’t an “old” game yet. Nevertheless I welcome it with open arms considering the strides Turn 10 made to make Forza 3 a great racing game. It wasn’t a straight up racing sim. More importantly, it was enjoyable and accessible even with its downsides. Additionally, it’s not like the 360 has a gang of exclusives for next fall especially considering how I’m looking forward to PStriples crazy lineup.

So The Xbox 360 Is Five Years Old…

…at least it was yesterday. I remember wanting one during college until I saw it’s paltry launch lineup. It had a few standouts in PGR 3 and Call of Duty 2. But I ended up sitting on the fence until I could afford one about two years later.

Changes I’d Like To See in Halo Reach

What?! I’m writing on my neglected wordpress account? Yup I got the feelin’ to post some geeky nonsense as I watch football. And speaking of football, Cablevision is on their BS as usual with Fox but lemme stop before I go on a rant.

What Would It Take To Bring ESPN 3 to Cablevision’s Customers?

E3 wrapped a mere a week ago which means I’m talking about ancient history in internet time. But with that out of the way I might as well talk about a key announcement I was genuinely interested in only to be brought back to reality at an alarming rate.

More Proof That Unexpected Gifts Are The Best Kind To Get

The UPS man/woman hooked it up quite nicely today. The package was oddly shaped and the shipping address made me look at it sideways. I decided not to waste any time wondering by gutting the hell out of the envelope. Let’s just say I got quite the surprise when I did away with the cardboard. Some Geek Wants To Make Left 4 Dead 3 Great. What Else Is New?

Left 4 Dead 3 is inevitable like it or not. Even if that slip up never occurred both games sold too many copies (especially 2 w/ it’s holiday sale deals) to scoff at the possibility of making another entry. Continue reading ‘Some Geek Wants To Make Left 4 Dead 3 Great. What Else Is New?’

Crackdown 2 Asks A Simple Question, “Would You Like To Blow $#!% Up With Me?”

The first Crackdown is one of my favorite games published by Microsoft. Despite it’s tired mission structure, barely there story and pretty short shelf life I had a stupid amount of fun with it. It was more enjoyable than Gears and Halo 3 even with it’s abrupt ending. Hell I’d put it right behind Mass Effect, Forza and PGR (R.I.P.) when it comes to exclusive games from the Bill Gates Mafia.

So when I heard that Crackdown 2 was in the works I did back flips. Well I wasn’t THAT excited but the kid was cheesing.

Interview with EA’s Gordon Van Dyke for Battlefield 1943

Yes things have been so slow on here that I uploaded a video from TWO months ago. I figured that I might as well let it get some life and promote BF 1943: one of the best download only titles out. It’s been out for a month and it’s still popular but free publicity never hurts. Plus I figured I should stop fighting technology and learn how to upload videos on the innernets.

Gordon, a Producer behind a number of Battlefield games including 1943, is a good dude and he was gracious enough to do a quick interview at E3. It was supposed to run on The Smoking Section for our 1943 giveaway last month but we passed on it. So now it’s a FH exclusive. Enjoy!

Cheap Thrills: Test Drive Unlimited Plus Sneak Peak at Sequel (Xbox 360)

Test Drive Unlimited Box

My friend insisted that I tried this game out and I refused for the longest. Honestly, the pics make it look broke at times and I hated the demo. Still, I scooped it up on ebay for $8 on a whim. I figured that if it was terrible I could go without a subway sandwich for once.
