It seems like Nike’s ad campaigns always find a way to entertain me.
Their latest endeavor involves Charlie Murphy playing the role of Leroy Smith: the player that beat out Michael Jordan for a spot on their high school basketball team. He claims to be the primary motivation behind MJ’s successful basketball career. So all summer the shoe company has launched numerous online shorts featuring Leroy’s informercials and fake news pieces. You can check them out at GetYourBasketballOn.com. They’ve been pretty funny so far but none of them match this outrageous music video starring Ryan Leslie’s voice and Naomi Hall from Electrik Red.
Oh you don’t know what Naomi looks like? Here, she’s the only one not in the car.
Watch the WHOLE THING!
Stuff like this proves that Charlie Murphy is the funnier Murphy. It’s been that way since Chappelle’s Show and Eddie hasn’t done much to change this power shift. Also the timing couldn’t be better considering MJ’s recent induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame. Anyway I got the mp3 here too. Click and enjoy.
