Killer Mike always rhymes as if his life depended on it. Trackstar The DJ collabled with him as they conjured up a FREE tape for your enjoyment. Catch the link and the tracklist after the break and enjoy. It’s got some joints from Monster, I Pledge Allegiance To The Grind 1 & 2, Ghetto Extraordinary (his unreleased album) and a few tracks you may not have heard yet. Shoutout to Gotty for providing the link. TSS is major!

There’s nothing like the feeling of seeing an artist/group you follow grow from e-hype to mainstream praise. Pac Div ain’t exactly mainstream yet but they’re well on their way.

This cat’s been getting some buzz for months and I kept turning my attention elsehwere. So when I saw that his latest dropped this Monday I decided to see what all the fuss is about. I didn’t know much about dude other than he’s from North Carolina and he’s the first Roc Nation signee. I don’t know the specifics behind the deal but he had to have impressed Hov to get that big cosign. I tried not to get gassed but I knew he had to have something special to get noticed by one of the greats.

I talked about Fashawn some time ago and told you guys to keep an ear out for his music. Well he’s dropping is debut album on Sept. 1 with Exile on the boards. That’s a ways away so enjoy these links for now. I got the B Side track called “The Outer City” from his first single “Freedom.” It’s got a cool summer vibe to it and I can see myself running this track back a couple of times. If you like The Outer City check out the link to the single from the itunes store.

I just got through listening to this album AGAIN and said: “Hey, I like this. Why not upload it?” Then some time passed as I expended some frustration towards Imeem’s uploader/playlist apps. Anyway it’s up now and I’m surprised by how much I like this joint. No it’s not as good as the first Blackout. But it’s better than pretty much any other rap release this year so far save for Relapse.

I was feeling kind of off about my page recently. I haven’t dropped any music in awhile so I apologize for that. Donny sent this late last night and I didn’t get a chance to check my email until now. So thank Mr. Goines for this one. I haven’t listened to it yet as I am downloading it now. The lineup definitely has me interested in checking it out though. Get the link and tracklist after the break.

You know it’s great to come home to free music after a long day. I found this sitting in my inbox when I booted up the laptop. This tape contains all the songs featured on It’s a 6th Sense Beat Yo!! from February. Allow me to extend my praises to 6th on this one. Grab the link and enjoy.

Scott Mescudi, bka KiD CuDi, is an interesting character to say the least. Dude went from myspace to Hot 97 off of the strength of Day N Night: a TWO YEAR OLD song. Maybe the radio was slippin’ (nah really they were). Plus the Jim Jones remix played a role in it’s success. Nevertheless that’s unheard of.
He doesn’t really go in when he raps and he’s not the best singer. But he knows how to craft songs that people want to hear. That talent, along with a GOOD MUSIC cosign and a left of center look, gives him an edge in not only rap, but pop music in general.

This tape made the rounds yesterday but I’m upping my own link for two reasons:
1.) It’s one less bogus link to worry about
2.) I hate .rar’s that have songs all out of order
Oh yeah did I mention that this is a pretty good tape? He went in on “Say You Will.” I like how Drake and now Sean took over Ye’s record and actually made it better each time. Most of the stuff here is new along with some album cuts, snippets, and the obligatory REMEMBER ME?!?! joint in “Getcha Some.” While the subject matter hasn’t really changed that much behind his songs, you can hear that his flow and lyrics stepped up since Finally Famous. Get the link and check the track list after the break.
